Drs. Jeff Roh and Addison Stone took ProOrtho to a whole new level this past summer in their attempt to summit Mt. Rainier. Unfortunately gusts over 60 mph and poor visibility on a route with snowmelt and massive crevasses caused them to turn away from their summit bid at about 13,000 feet. The risk of being blown off a ladder into a crevasse is an absolutely unnecessary risk. In life, and in medicine, there are calculated risks with evidence-based results and then there are unnecessary risks that can cause harm. Our surgeons simply do not take unnecessary risks, not in their personal recreation and especially not with their patient care.
